Sometimes these Emails are more personalized, including your name or account name, this is called "spear phishing".

A way to help avoid ID theft is to "streamline" your wallets and bags. This means to only bring what you need for the day (cards, cash, ID). Do not bring your Social Security card unless absolutely necessary.
