How the Hot Springs were made-- AR History
As in the name of our town, Hot Springs has hot springs. But how did they get there?
Well, in prehistoric time, it rained quite a bit. There were also cracks in the Earth's crust.
These cracks in the earth's crust allowed water to seep into the ground, where it traveled down toward the core.

loser to the earth's center, there's a little something called magma. The magma would heat the water up to the point that it would vaporize, then it'd travel up to the crust again
On it's way up to the crust, it becomes tempered water, which is also known as our hot springs.
When explorers found the area, they got even the slightest bit of inspiration for the name of the town we live in.
