- Odysseus, Telemachus, Elatus, and the cow-herder striking some suitors after the suitors decided to take off their armor.
- "Odysseus-mercy! Spare my life! They were too strong, they forced me to come and sing."
- Telemachus showing his maturation and stopping Odysseus from killing Phemius.

- "Quick, report in full on the women who are disloyal to me , who are guiltless?"
- "Some dozen in all went trampling to their shame, thumbing their noses at me, at the queen herself!"
- The old nurse telling Odysseus which of the women are disloyal.

- Telemachus having the disloyal women executed. The women are being hanged.

- The end of book 22 and Odysseus has killed all of the suitors and now the women are kissing, hugging, and praising Odyssey.
