Hello! My name is Hairyb! Welcome to Ancient India! You will have fun learning about India!
Indians settled on the Ganges river for a while. The Ganges river starts in the Himalayas and provides water for the river and the Ganges plains.
They later moved west to the Indus river. The Indus river also starts in the Himalayas but gets most of its water from the snow and ice melting on the Hindu Kush Mountains.
The other settlement is the Indus River civilization, also known as Harappa. The second part of Mohenjodaro was most likely where the people lived. They had advancements that were an advanced civilization, and they even had a sewer system.
Mohenjodaro means "mound of the dead." Mohenjodaro is one of two settlements.
One of the teachings of Hinduism is dharma, which tells about the behavior that lets you achieve the highest good.
Deities had a big impact on India. They were the route to a lot of the religions that are current.
If someone was a Buddhist then they would be an ascetic, which is someone who gives up worldly pleasures.
One fact about Buddhism is that it is the third largest religion.
Emperor Ashoka helped unite India by using Buddhist Values across India.
Hope you had fun learning and exploring India with me!
