Don't hesitate in telling your teacher. She will help you solve the problem.
#2 Handling Glassware and Equipment DO'S
I am going to use a brush and a dust pan to clean it up
That sounds like a good idea.
Telling the teacher what happened is the best thing to do for your own safety and for others safety as well.
#3 Handling Glassware and Equipment DONT'S
I am going to put the glass in the trash can.
Do not ever try to handle glass with you bare hands. DON'T even think about it, you can get hurt.
#3 Handling Glassware and Equipment DO'S
I'm going to put the glass in the glass disposal bin.
Always use a dust pan and a brush to clean up the accident. It is safe and it decreases the chances of someone getting hurt.
Do not throw away glass in a play were it is not designated because it might have chemicals that you cannot throw away or it may not be safe to put in a regular garbage bag because it can rip the bag.
Anytime an accident dealing with glass occurs, remember to throw it away in a designated area. If you do not know where that is, ask the teacher.
