Cold War: A Comic by Nathan Garrett and Garrett Brady
Mr. President, the Soviets have walled themselves off from western society, even preventing their citizens from accessing West Berlin
We'll need to drop supplies in to prevent the citizens from going without. I'm calling a national meeting to address the rise of Communism.
The USSR has declared itself an openly Communist state, one that is in direct opposition to our way of life and the foundation of our country. The U.S. cannot sit idly by as Europe is consumed by a wave of Red, and we will do whatever it takes to preserve the American way.
As of today, the U.S. will aid any country, militarily or economically, to escape the firm grasp of Communism. We will also begin increasing our efforts to stabilize the European economy, but those two things have absolutely nothing to do with one another.
Soviet nuclear tests took place throughout the Cold War. They were a driving force behind the rapid buildup of arms both countries underwent.
We offered support to any country that needed help keeping out Communism, and it looks like we're going to war. Korea is under attack.
It's a good thing we've all been amassing these weapons, the war should be over quickly.
