The meeting of the estates generals was the first meeting between the estates general since 1614. Representatives came from the estates (peasants, nobles and priests). It was organized by King Louis XVI.
They all came here to discuss various issues such as financial problems, economics, industrial and voting. King Louis was determined to solve these problems but the solutions were not so black and white.
They attempted to create a new voting system but it was not agreed upon. It was originally based off of one vote per estate. The third estate new that they would be outvoted every time so they ended up creating the National assembly. This just shows how bad of a leader King Louis was.
