I need to know what happened!?
Exposition: Terry, his father, mother, and Mr. Carlson. Terry is 13 years old and knows something is wrong with his father. This takes placeat Terry's home, school, and hardware store.
Rising action: Terry wants to seek knowledge about the Vietnam War and after his mom doesn't tell him much he goes to Mr. Carlson. After his dad had a flashback at the hardware store he builds up the courage to finally ask him about it.
Climax: Terry gains knowledge by his dad telling him about his war experience and how he was the only surviver in his unit.
War is a very serious and sensitive thing to talk about.
Try putting yourself in other peoples shoes.
Falling action: Terry is beginning to understand his father and feel closer to him.
Resolution: Terry tries to not be embarrased anymore and understand.
Theme: 1) War is important and can have a lasting affect on people. Theme: 2) People should try to understand problems of others.
