  • How did the Spindletop oil boom affect the local economy and national oil prices?.Lots of people came to spindletop very frequently to the oil production grew and peaked, In fact back in 1902 more than 17 million barrels were produced that year and during that time period nearly 20% of oil came from spindletop, By 1902 the oil price dropped down very low to to about 3 cents that's like 20$ today and all of this was part of the boom-and-bust cycle.
