  • We are not told about Brian's physical description but we know he is 13 years of age and is surviving in the wilderness

  • personality trait- hardworking. or clever evidence:  "The hatchet was the answer. That's what his father and Terry had been trying to tell him. Somehow he could get fire from the hatchet. The sparks would make fire." (Paulsen,83) explanation: Brian was able to figure out a way to start a fire, when before he didn't know what to do.
