Storyboard Text

  • Come on Baxter, we have to go to the Vets to get you help.
  • Hello. I'm here with my dog Baxter for an appointment. He hasn't been doing well and I think he might be sick.
  • Yes of course, Bring him right in to room #2.
  • What seems to be the problem?
  • Well Doc, Baxter is has a supper runny nose and he wont eat all his food which he usually does. Also he keeps making these funny noises, I think he's coughing but i'm not sure.
  • He is looking a little lethargic. I think it may be distemper.
  • What is distemper Doc?
  • Distemper is an disease caused by the canine distemper virus, and it affects the dogs respiratory system, gastrointestinal system, and central nervous system.
  • Really, I did not know that. How did Baxter get this virus though?
  • Distemper is most commonly spread through contact with an infected animal or surface. I'm just going to give Baxter his shot and you can go on your way. Just make sure to let him rest for a week or two until the vaccine kicks in.
  • Thanks Doc!
