The Korean war was when Communist North Korea invaded Democratic South Korea. The US supported South Korea, and the USSR supported North Korea. This scene is describing what the war looked like. When a cease fire was called, neither side had really gained any land.

The policy of containment was when the US tried to keep Communism where it was and to keep it from spreading. They did this by enacting the Truman plan and the Monroe doctrine. Both pumped money into the government so that the government wouldn't turn Communist. This scene depicts the US giving them money.
Communism in Africa was when the USSR was trying to get Africa to be Communist. They gave away free scholarships to try and persuade them. This scene shows the USSR giving away scholarships.
The Vietnam war was when the leader of the Communist North, Ho Chi Minh, invades the south and tries to unite Vietnam under Communism. The US helps by sending troops and supplies. The North Vietnamese used Guerilla warfare, a tactic that the US couldn't stand up to. The US retreated in 1975. This scene depicts the fighting.
The space race was when the superpowers tried to have the best space program. During this time, the Soviet Union launched Sputnik, a satelight. In response to this, the US created NASA, and ent the first man to the moon. This scene shows Neil Armstrong on the moon with the American flag.
