F.Scott Fitzgerald was a American Story write from 1896-1940. He rose to the jazz age period , but later he went on to Princeton University were he than dropped out . He joined the U.S Army and the success in writing his first novel.
Prohibition was a time period were there was underground bars and getting raid of alcohol. This also gave a rise to gangsters. illegal alcohol
During the 1920's young women worked outside the house more than they did in the past. They drove car and disregard tradition.Gender specific clothing started to fall by the wayside after the manfurinng job start to appear. The youth drank in carefree dis-pike the prohibition.
Women in the 1920's were the big part of the jazz age, the short skirts and the bold makeup, but flappers didn't rule the fashion period of the time.There was also dropped waist dresses that relieved women of the last vestiges. some women even wore skirt hemlines.
Organized crimes who supplied the booze. In Jan 1920 the government banned the sale and supply of alcohol, the government thought that was the world crime and curb violence of the the world. But instead the prohibition did not meet it successful goal instead it increased the crime rate. there were organized criminals such as the American mobsters and the European crime syndicates thrived. Most people looked up to to organized groups.

During the 20's the culture was heavily influenced by jazz and dance. This time period largely credited the African America population . It recognized some of the Jazz age musicians such as Louis Armstrong, Sidney Bechet and many other who brought the New Orleans to LA.
