The food goes into the mouth where it is broken down into pieces and then is coated with saliva which makes it easier to swallow.
the liver produces bile which is stored in the gallbladder can further break down the food.
The food then enters the esophagus which leads to the stomach where food is broken down even more by chyme. next it goes to the small intestine where it stores nutrients. Then ffood is sent to the large intestine where water is removed
The pancreas produces enzymes for the small intestine
peristalsis helps to move the food down
Then waste goes to the rectum where it is stored until it is ready to be released through the anus
