- Morelos was a great military soldier, because he was a strategist and a good leader. And he was the first opponent of the Viceroyalty.
- "No hay otra nobleza que la de la virtud, el saber, el patriotismo y la caridad."
- Morelos wrote the constitution of Apatzingan, during the first independent congress in September 1813, this marked the independence of Mexico against Spain.
