Storyboard Text

  • Everything started when we arrived in the New World, leaving England behind. We arrived in ships, and there were many of us like the pilgrims, puritans d Quakers. We were all looking for a better place to live without worries and religious freedom so the 13 colonies were settled.
  • The Colonies lasted from 1607-1776. They took 125 years to create. They were be divided into three groups: New England, Middle, andSouthern Colonies. These divisions were based on geography, climate, population, and economy.
  • All of the new settlers faced difficulties in the new colonies, and survived on different resources. There were the New england colonies in the north were really good at manufacturingand it was really important. The middle colonies had good ports for fishing. The Southern colonies depended on crash crops and slaves.
  • The life in the colonies was not easy, a lot of the settlers died. We had leaders that helped survive the hard days in the colonies, like John Smith from Jamestown.
  • My name is John Smith from Jamestown and I led my colony trouhght starvation.
  • A lot of events happend in the colonies like the signing of the mayflower compact, the Virginia House of Burgesses and the Fundamental orders of Conneticut.
  • All of the diffilcuties we faced, all of the events in the 13 colonies eventually helped how our government is formed. The 13 colonies helped shaped the US we have today.
