Storyboard Text

  • in 1637 the English were purposely planning a massacre on the Pequot tribe because of the tensions between the English settlers and them
  • the English landed on narragansett territory and had spoken so they can become allies and fight against the Pequots, because at the time some tribes were allies with eachother and others were at war
  • Before the fight, the Americans were praying, and reading from the bible
  • While many of the Native men, women, and children were sleeping, one of the Native men was still awake and heard the Americans coming in, so he woke up the other Natives
  • During the fight, there were many bodies laying on the floor that the Americans could not walk without stepping on them. The fight was so gruesome that the Americans started to question if this is right
  • As they were fighting, an English leader figured out that they could not defeat the Native Americans in a hand to hand fight, so he grabbed a torch and started setting the huts on fire, which ended the fight
