Storyboard Text

  • Hi! I'm Drippity Droppity.I'm gonna teach you about the water cycle.I'm standing on top of an aquifer.Aquifers are underground tunnels that hold water.Cool, right?
  • Do you see these clouds? They have water in them right now.In fact, these clouds are made out of water. When rain falls out of these clouds and goes into a stream or ocean of water, that's called downhill flow.
  • It's raining a lot, I'm guessing there's going to be a lot of left over water. This is called precipitation.Precipitation is rain, hail, snow, sleet, anything that comes from the clouds that are in the sky.
  • Do you see these trees nearby? All the extra water that the trees don't need evaporate into the sky. That's called transpiration.
  • Look at all of this left over water! When the sun comes out, gravity is gonna help the sun evaporate the water.
  • The sun is out. This is my chance to become a cloud! The sun is going to use it's its radiant energy and make me water vapor.I get carried up into the sky by gravity. That's called evaporation.
  • Hey guys! Its Drippity Droppity.I'm a cloud now.I got evaporated into the sky.Its been getting cold lately, so maybe i'll use crystallization and make hail.
