If only our traditions were carried on like Jeffs and his family.
I pay most of the bills here.
You never do anything around here!
Susie often times walked around town, but this time it was different. As she walked around sadness took over. She saw families putting up decorations and spending time together, like her family used to do. She thought about all the fun her family used to have, before her parents constantly argued.
What would yall like to do for Christmas Eve tomorrow?
The second Susie reached her living room she could hear the terror of her parents yelling. Her stomach knotted, and her heart dropped. She quickly ran to her room but she could still hear the arguing. Many thoughts went through her head, like the arguing was her fault.
You have always loved the Polar Express.
This is one of my favorite movies!
Susie's eyes began to water, she felt a big gulp in her throat. All she wanted to do was sleep but instead, tears took over and she could hear her parents yelling back and forth to each other. She realized nothing she did or said would make things better and cried herself to sleep.
Susie woke up at noon the next day to the smell of caesar salad and chicken stips, her favorite food. She began to run downstairs, by the time she reached the dinning room, she realized her parents were sitting at the table together waiting for her. She began to wonder if it was a Christmas miracle, they were not arguing. Her family even discussed what they would do for Christmas eve tomorrow.
The family spent their day from morning to night watching Christmas classics as a family. They even baked cookies for santa just like they used to when she was younger. By the time they went to bed Susie realized all good things come to those who wait.
Christmas day Susie was up the earliest she had been all of her holiday break. She could smell pancakes from her room and rushed down as she realized it was Christmas! When she reached the bottom of the stairs she heard her parents laughing together and communicating as if they were happy. She was looking forward to the day realizing that things were back to normal.
