I Wandered Lonely as a cloudBy: William Wordsworth
I wandered lonely as a cloud. When all at once I saw a crowd , A host, of golden daffodils.
Continuous as the stars that shine and twinkle on the milky way.
The waves beside them danced; but they Out-did the sparkling waves in glee.
I lie In vacant or in passive mood, And then my heart with pleasure fills, And dances with the daffodils.
I believe that the overall purpose of the poem is to present the relationship that's between humanity and nature. Which the speaker encourages the readers to appreciate the beauty of nature. This means that nature is essential to our happiness. We see this when the speaker felt their "heart with pleasure" thinking about the daffodils.
