Jacob had 12 sons, Joseph was Jacob's first favourited wife's son, which gave him the birthright. Jacob loved Joseph and gave him a colourful robe which Joeseph always wore.
Hmm...we'll take him
Joseph could interpret dreams. He told his brothers of his dream to greatness, and the 10 brothers got angry. Judah threatened to kill Joseph, but Ruben disagreed, and offered another way.
They threw Joseph in the well. Judah sold Joseph for 20 silvers to a trader. After, Judah and his brothers told Jacob that Joseph was killed by a mountain lion. Judah showed Jacob Joseph's robe which they covered with blood. Jacob was heartbroken.
The trader took Joseph to Egypt, where he sold Joseph as a slave to Potiphar. Potiphar's wife fancied Joseph, so when Potiphar was away on a trip, his wife invited Joseph to her room and tried to seduce him
Joseph declined the offer from Potiphar's wife; the wife, embarrased, called the guards; and claimed that Joseph harmed her, which resulted him thrown into jail with 2 others; a baker and a butler.
At night, Joseph interpreted their dreams and told them. The next day, the dreams came true. The 2 people were released, the baker to be executed and the butler to be promoted. "Remember me to the pharoah" Joseph said to the butler
