The Port of New Orleans is closed until further notice
After what seemed like the thousandth time that British sailors impressed the American sailors, Thomas Jefferson decided that this was the last straw. Foreseeing more scenes like this one above, he closed down the famous Port of New Orleans in high hopes of Choking the British economy enough that they would stop impressing American sailors.
Hearing the news that more sailors were being held under the name of the British Royal Navy, the enraged Thomas Jefferson closed down New Orleans Port, in hopes of suffocating the British into giving the American sailors back.
The Americans could have just burned their wealth. Due to President Jefferson's choking idea, the American economy was choking itself because of no trade connections with other countries to improve its wealth.
