- Aidan is walking in a forest, boredout of his mind. He walks around and finds an apple.
- I wonder how far away from the ground this apple is (h). If I'm 6 feet.. then.... hm I'm not sure!
- Maybe lets use trig! If the distance between me and the tree is 20 feet..
- And if the apple is at an angle of an elevation of 58 degrees, this means that I can use tangents!
- So that means the equation would be tan(58) = h / 20. After that you would want to multiply both sides by 20 to get 20 tan(58) = h
- That means that the distance of the apple away from the ground (h) is 32 feet! Now that's a high apple!
