  • He will be a KING no matter what you say!!!
  • Move out of the way!! Move people in poverty!!
  • Ahh!! Such a beautiful day!! Sun is shining in a beautiful way!!
  • Wow! Life isn't as perfect as I thought!!
  • Siddhartha Gautama was born into a royal family in Nepal. A fortuneteller predicted paths for his future. He could become a king or a religious leader. His father tried to make him a king.
  • Sure, but you have to live in self-denial.
  • Can I join?
  • Sid was raised in wealth. His father protected him from unpleasant things. Sid thought life was happy and perfect.
  • AUMMMMMMMM
  • Sid snuck out and saw an old man. He also saw a man shrunken by disease. Then, he saw a dead guy with his family mourning him. Lastly, he saw a holy man, who didn't care about his place in life; he was happy.
  • Everybody, gather round. I need to tell you about the truth.
  • Sid ran away from home looked for an answer. He meditated with gurus, but that wasn't for him. He tried self-denial and was in a bad condition. He couldn't live that way.
  • Sid sat under the Bodhi tree and started to meditate. He tried to find the truth during this meditation. He spent 49 days thinking. Eventually, he found it and came to enlightenment; he became the Buddha.
  • Buddha went around trying to spread the idea of Buddhism. During, the journey he gained followers that helped him spread the idea faster. His family (including his son and wife) quickly wanted to be a follower and just as Siddhartha started Buddhism, they started a following group.
