Storyboard Text

  •  The narrator is grieving his late wife, Lenore. It is just him in his house at night when he hears a knock at his door.
  • Oh Lenore! Lenore, Lenore, Lenore. You were such an angel.
  • Knock, knock, knock.
  • The narrator opens his chamber door to see there was nobody there knocking. He thinks that since no one is there, it is like the absence of Lenore. Immediatly, he goes back to thinking of her again.
  • Absence at my door, like the absence of Lenore.
  • There is a second knock, but at the window. The narrator opens the window and a raven flies inside. The raven then perches on the bookcase and starts to speak.
  • Knock, knock, knock.
  • A raven at my window, oh my!
  • Nevermore, nevermore!!
  • YOU KNOW WHAT, LEAVE YOU RAVEN. Return to where you came from, and banish
  • The narrator asks the raven if he will be healed by the loss of Lenore, but looses hope because all the raven says is nevermore. The narrator starts to get infuriated and upset. He then starts to go mad.
  • Answer me you raven!
  • Will I be alright without Lenore?
  • Nevermore, nevermore!!
  • He (the narrator) becomes more hopeless and mad when the raven does not say anything more than nevermore. He feels the presence of the raven makes things worse. Though it is told to leave, the raven stays.
  • Go away raven, you make everything worse.
  • Nevermore.
  • Told to leave many times, the raven stays. The only thing for it to ever say, is nevermore. The narrator's spirit will never be lifted again.
  • Nevermore.
  • My spirit will never be lifted again. All thanks to you.
