  • Hoovervilles was a small town during the The Great Depression . And that's where all the homeless went to stay, they built their own homes since they didn't have money to pay their rent and got kicked out.
  • During The Great Depression farmers worked hard to make crops . When the prices fell they tried to make even more crops so they could earn more money. But then prices dropped really low that some farmers lost their farms.
  • When The Great Depression happened many people lost their jobs which meant they couldn't earn money to pay rent or to buy food for their families. So there was 2 million people that became homeless and some even died from hunger.
