  • Form Utility: Changing raw materials or putting parts together to make them more useful. Example: Zipper, cloth, plastic, vinyl, metal, tin, or aluminum
  • I will be paying with cash for my lunchbox!
  • Place Utility: Having a product in a convenient place for customers to buy it. Examples: Vera Bradley, Target, Walmart, Kohl's, and Macy's
  • The commercial on the T.V said the lunchboxes are being sold at Target!
  • Time Utility: Having a product available at a certain time of year or convenient time of day. Examples: Stores are selling lunchboxes more during back to school season while everyone is shopping for school supplies for the new school year.
  • Possession Utility: The exchange of a product for some monetary value. Example: Having the ability to purchase a backpack with cash, debit card, and credit card.
  • Information Utility: Communication with the consumer about your product or service. Examples: Commercials or the price tag on the lunchbox
