  • After the New Years Eve Celebration, Patria and Pedrito are fast asleep. They are suddenly awoken by headlights.
  • Ay, Dios mio!
  • Patria goes to investigate the situation and finds the drunken Minerva, Manolo, Leandro, and Nelson celebrating.
  • CUBA LIBRE! CUBA LIBRE! CUBA LIBRE
  • Fidel, Raul, and Che have entered Havana and liberated the country.
  • What is happening ?
  • I don't believe Nelson will be joining you guys
  • We are going to continue to celebrate 
  • Minerva, Manolo, and Leandro leave singing the Cuban national anthem. Patria makes Nelson stay home to get some rest. 
  • Al combate corred bayameses...
  • Mama, what is wrong. Isn't this good news?
  • I'm sorry my love, but we are not libre yet. This is only a small step forward in our race for freedom.
  • Once calming down Nelson, Patria and him begin to discuss Fidel's invasion.
  • Patria, why are you not celebrating? This is a glorious moment 
  • Once everything begins to settle, Patria tells Pedrito of her speculation. Patria informs Pedrito of the pregnancy, this marks her physical awakening as she has not spoken of children since the death of her last child.

  • When overhearing their parents conversation, Nelson and Norris enter from the hallway. They begin to discuss the name of the baby. Patria suggest Ernesto to remember the revolution.

  • What if we named him Ernesto, to remember this day!
