"On September 26 the Canterbury sheriff tried to arrest Prudence again."(Jurmain, 81).
Prudence's court date was rescheduled to take place in 6 days instead of being held in December which gave her way less time to prep and all of her supporters and speakers had a hard time being able to show. (Jurmain, 81).
"Prudence told the girls,"not to indulge in angry feelings towards, [their] enemies." The girls, one student reported in an essay, tried to remember that they should "not return evil for evil."( Jurmain, 80).

Although Prudence had tons of people that were after her and trying to bring her down she didn't let that get in her way or let it change her mind and continued doing what she thought was right.
To succeed, Prudence did not let the setback of peoples hatred towards her stop her from fighting for what she believed was fair and right.
Summary- SWBS/Aha Huh
Prudence wanted to let people of all races get a fair education. But so many people fought against her and made it so hard for her just to keep it open. So Prudence gathered as many people that supported her idea and fought for school to remain open.
The author included this to show that even when people were so against Prudence and all of her colored students and even when people were trying so hard to bring them down and ruin there futures and lives, they didn't let that change them as people and stayed strong and considerate even to those who were just showing them hatred.
Working, Prudence did everything in her power to keep her school up and running even though everyone was against her and making it the hardest thing possible.

Aha Started off as a well known educator and had many followers and supporters Huh? Was later almost arrested for "breaking the law" when trying to open and maintain a school for the colored.
