These taxes on our tea are too high and it is not fair that the East India Company is allowed to avoid them!
I know right perhaps we should stop them from coming here.
We don't want your taxed tea, so stay away!!!
You better not!
We will come back!!!
We hate your taxed tea!
Down with the Tea Act!
The Tea Act allowed the East India Company to avoid most of the tax on tea. The Colonists are jealous of this.
The Colonists forced the ships of the East India Company to sail back to Britain.
You are horrible for everything you have done!
Should I or should I not fire my gun again?
When more of the British ships came to Boston, the Sons of Liberty who disguised themselves as Native Americans, sneaked onto one of the E.I.C ships, and threw lots of the taxed tea in crates into the harbor.
Good work, Jefferson!
Britain punished the Colonists by enforcing the Coercive Acts or, as the Colonists call them, the Intolerable Acts. The Acts closed the Boston Harbor, took away some of the Colonists' rights and forced them to keep British soldiers in their homes.
Please sir, stop eating! My child is starving!
Sometimes Colonists can get injured and some even killed by the British soldiers while they are protesting. The Boston Massacre was one of those times where many Colonists got injured and five were killed.
Now you are hurting us! You have taken this too far!
The Colonists held a second Continental Congress and chose Thomas Jefferson to write the Declaration of Independence and when Britain refused, a war broke out between them. George Washington led the Colonists during the war.
