"Since you do not want to help us, we are closing off any possible way for you to receive your goods!!!"
"Oh why!!! This is going to be a lot of work."
America was trading with both Britain and France, but Britain and France were in war. But America wanted to remain neutral.
"Why! I'm too young to start working."
Because the British blocked off any possible way for America to receive their goods, America was now forced to make their own goods.
"I don't like this place, I miss the farmland."
The British blockade led to the Industrial Revolution. Now, everything was going to be made in factories.
"I can't believe how fast time flies! It's going to be 15 years since I started here!"
Women and children started to work there for long, hard hours where there were barely any breaks.
Because people wanted their jobs for money, that also meant that they had to move to the big cities.
The Industrial Revolution lasted from around 1760 to 1820 and 1840.
