  • Haha, I'm glad you're doing well
  • Yes, sir but I need a translator and a navigator
  • George Washington you must go to the French colony to tell them to leave our territory so we can trade with the Indians
  • I am here representing Britan to tell you to leave this land
  • This is our land!!
  • By the 1580's the English colonies were thriving and they were growing in population very quickly. While the English were doing great the French were barely present in America other than some traders and a few colonies, but they had the vision to connect their colonies using the Ohio River. The French believed that their trading with the American Indians was going to make them rich so they wanted to protect that to compare with the English.
  •  The English colonies were doing so well they wanted to expand out into the land owned by France. The English started trading with the Natives that the French were trading with and the French didn't like it. So they started building military forts on the Ohio River to keep out the English and protect their trading with the Natives. So then the English told the French to leave the Americas and they sent a military leader named George Washington to tell them.
  • But Quebec is one of our two most important cities
  • This land is now owned by Britan get out or be killed
  • When George Washington delivered the news the French didn't appreciate it and kicked out George, his navigator, translator, and some Natives he picked up on the way.
  • The English didn't care that they didn't leave and decided to settle there anyway. This wasn't taken lightly by the French who attacked there new fort that was being built and relinquished. The English then started to build up an army and fought but lost the next few battles with the French.
  •  But then William Pitt was given power and set up a plan to beat the French and get them out of the New World. Britan next attacked Quebec and captured it with the leadership from James Wolf. This created a disadvantage for the French then when the British captured Montreal they had to surrender.
  • Because the French knew that they were going to lose since they lost both Quebec and Montreal they surrendered. They met and they both signed the Treaty Of Paris to end the French and Indian War/ The 7 Years War. In this treaty, France gave up almost all of its land in North America. But this also impacted Britan because they had to pay war debts and because of this they had to tax the Colonies which led to the American Revolution.
  • The signing of the Treaty Of Paris
