  • We'll be grieving loudly when we hear that Duncan has died. 
  • Now I'm decided, and I will exert every muscle in my body to commit this crime. 
  • Banquo and Fleance are doing the nightly rounds, making sure the castle is ready for the night ahead.
  • How's the night going boy?
  • The moon has set but the clock has not set yet.
  • Banquo is suspicious as he sees Macbeth out late.
  • Who's there?
  • A friend.
  • King Duncan gives a diamond to Banquo to pass over to lady Macbeth as a gift.
  • Duncan has granted many gifts to your household, please pass this on to your wife. 
  • Thank you, rest easy.
  • Macbeth is hallucinating a dagger before him as he thinks more about the murder.
  • Is this a dagger I see before me?...
  • Macbeth hesitates slightly as he gets ready to murder King Duncan.
  • While I stay here talking, Duncan lives. The more I talk, the more my courage cools.
