In the Hellenistic age one of the most important architectural achievements was pillars. The Parthenon showed pillar building at its highest.
During the Hellenistic age women started to leave the house and take the same jobs as men. Many became poets and philosophers. Some managed to become rulers. Cleopatra became the ruler of Egypt during the Hellenistic age.
Alexander the Great's Legacy
Alexander the Great died leaving a massive Empire to be fought over by his Generals. He also though left many cities that grew into major learning centers like Alexandria. He also supported and caused the blending of cultures. One example of this is when he married a Persian woman. I still miss my strong ruler.
The Hellenistic age was dominated by learning and philosophy. Women took a greater role during this time. There were new schools of thought (Philosophy) like Stoicism founded by Zeno.

During the Hellenistic age there were many medical advances. Hippocrates looked for cures to many illnesses. His Hippocrates oath still sets ethical standards for doctors today.
