  • Ancient Egypt was ruled by Pharaohs. Pharaohs were believed to have a connection with the Egyptian gods and represented the gods through laws that were passed, and policies that were approved. 
  • Social Structures Pharaohs Government Officials Soldiers  Scribes Merchants Craftsmen Farmers Slaves & Servants
  • Priests are some of the more higher roles in the social pyramid. They delt with pleasing the gods rather than directly helping the citizens. 
  • Religion was a big part of the Ancient Civilization. Egypt's religion was polytheistic- meaning they worshiped multiple gods. Priests cared for temples and the god's statures. Temples were dedicated to the gods in Egypt. 
  • Egypt was one of the more wealthy civilizations. Traders (merchants) carried around items such as gold, papyrus (which could be used for paper and making rope), cloth, and jewelry. 
  • Farmers were on the lower side of the social pyramid. Agricultor started evolving in Ancient Egypt- they created inventions to help with farming like the Ox Powered Plough.
