Storyboard Text

  • Hi! Yes, it is, but did you know that the wind is a natural resource?
  • Hi, Jessica. It's such a beautiful day today! The wind feels nice too.
  • Natural resources are the basis of life on earth. They exist in nature or in other words, they're not man-made.
  • What's a natural resource?
  • However, nonrenewable resources cannot be replenished and we will eventually run out. For example, we will eventually run out of fossil fuels.
  • Natural resources are all connected in a way because if one of them didn't exist or the supply ran out, it will effect the supply of other natural resources.
  • That's crazy!
  • For example, if our water supply ran out, or something happened to it, then the plants won't get the water they need. If they start to die out, then the animals who eat plants will die off. Then, the animals who eat those animals will die.
  • That would be horrible.
  • I forgot to mention, there are two types of natural resources: renewable and nonrenewable. Renewable resources can be used over and over again and we'll never run out. For example, we will never run out of wind.
  • Cool!
  • Oh, and don't forget, we wouldn't be alive without natural resources!
  • I get it now! Well, thanks for telling me about natural resources. Bye!
