  • We will not leave here until we get a new constitution!!
  • Lets go surround the Bastille.  ATTTTTACKKKK
  • France was split into 3 estates. The third estate was filled with the lower class. They did the most work and were taxed the most. The second estate was filled with mostly landowners and merchants. They were barely taxed. The first estate was filled with Priest's and religious leaders. They had lots of money and were taxed under 2 percent.
  • During the winter and spring of 1789, bread riots were   especially common. The riots that helped start the French Revolution and the fall of Bastille were based on a search for weapons and grains.
  • And now we are out of money...
  • In Versailles, France, the deputies of the Third Estate, which represent commoners and the lower clergy, meet on the Jeu de Paume, an indoor tennis court and vowed to not disband till there was a new French Constitution.
  • A mob attacked the Bastille in the need for searching for weapons and gunpowder. (Bastille day is Frances independent day)
  • As the 18th century ended France was on the bridge of bankruptcy because of their involvement in the American Revolution, and the spending of tons of money by King Louis XVI.
