  • They both have crystals, intrusive has large crystals, which is coarse-grain. Extrusive has small or no crystals, which is called fine-grain

  • Intrusive examples are granite, extrusive examples are basalt, obsidian, and pimice
  • One more thing is silica, extrusive has low silica in basalt. Intrusive has high silica, in granite.
