ACT 3: The fight between Romeo and Tybalt

The importance of this event is to show the feuding between the Capulets and Montagues that is said in the prologue. This scene also introduces many characters, as well as a few of their character traits.
ACT 3: Second fight between Romeo and Tybalt
O, I am fortune's fool!
Romeo, away, be gone! The citizens are up, and Tybalt slain.
In this event, Romeo and Juliet are married by Friar Laurence. This is an important event, as only the people in this scene will know of this event. That information will cause problems later in the story.
ACT 4: Juliet drinks the vial
Romeo, Romeo, Romeo, I drink to thee!
Previously in Act 2, Tybalt sent Romeo a letter to challenge him to a duel because he attended his uncle's party as a Montague in disguise. When Romeo, Benvolio, and Mercutio see him somewhere, a fight breaks out. As Romeo attempts to make peace between everyone, Tybalt jabs Mercutio to his death. This event is important as it is the event that leads to Romeo getting revenge on and battling Tybalt.
ACT 5: Romeo and Juliet's death
And I, for winking at your discords too, / Have lost a brace of kinsman. All are punished.
See what a scourge is laid upon your hate, / That heaven finds means to kill your joys with love.
In this scene, Romeo revenges Mercutio's death by battling with Tybalt, unhesitating about the consequences. When Romeo defeats Tybalt, he flees the scene to avoid trouble. This scene is important, because the law of fighting is in place, meaning Romeo will have horrid consequences for fighting Tybalt. The consequence Romeo is given is exile.
In this scene, Juliet is pondering of the possible negative effects the potion may have. After a good while of listing terrible scenarios, Juliet finally drinks the mixture and falls into her "deadly" slumber. This scene is important, as it is the first step to the Friar's plan of getting Romeo and Juliet to Mantua together.

In this scene, Romeo and Juliet face death. This scene is important as it led to the opening of everyone around's eyes. The Prince is disappointed with the Capulet's and Montague's feuding, as it costed their children's and his kinsman's lives. This is what brings the Capulets and Montagues to good terms.
