The Amnion is a thick, fluid-filled sac around the embryo that protects the embryo during growth.
The Allantois is a an external organ in the embryo of birds that develops into part of the umbilical cord. The allantois has four jobs: (1) serves in gas exchange for the embryo; (2) handles the wastes; (3) absorbs albumen, which serves as a nutrient (protein) for the embryo; and (4) removes calcium from he shell for hardening the embryo's bones bones and beak.
The egg tooth is a temporary horny cap on the chick's upper beak that is used for pipping (breaking through) the shell. Usually dries and falls off within 2 days after chick hatches.
Day 10-12- Feathers (down) start to form.
Day 7-9- Mouth appears to open and close.
Day 4- Eye (looks like a black spot) becomes visible
Temperture: The temperture should be kept between 99 F and 101 F also.
Turning: We have to turn the eggs so they aren't always on one side.
