  • Lady Macbeth just left and Macbeth expresses his guilt.
  • Lady Macbeth enters and there is knocking at the door and expressing that she doesn't feel guilty. 
  • Macbeth ends the scene by saying that in order to come to terms with what he has done he has to lose his conscience.
