  • Prohibition was a time that made the purchase of alcohol illegal. It was also considered a "moral triumph" of the middle class over the less morally bound city. It also gave rise to the gangster era. 
  • Music
  • Illegal liquor traffic is what led to the wealth of gangsters. Some gangsters were able to manage secret bars. They also started bootleggging.
  • Fashion
  • He became one of the primary spokesman for the jazz age. F. Scott Fitzgerald is considered one of Americas greatest writers. In 1920 he met and married Zelda Sayre in 1920. They were said to be poison to each other. Zelda was a gifted writer but Fitzgerald held her back due to jealousy
  • Lifestyle
  • The music that famous around this time period is Jazz. Jazz is the only way back then that African Americans will be recognized.People did not understand where Jazz came from but the only thing they knew was that they loved Jazz. 
  • Women during this time period would wear clothes that men found attractive. The clothing for women was for them to move more freely. Men liked Baggy pants "oxford bags". They also wore panama straw hats and stiff brimmed hats.
  • Living in the 1920's was wild because The 1920’s were a decade of parties, money, and other type of lifestyles. But everything around that time was only worried about  women, money, alcohol, music, and partying. In the twenties dresses were shorter, alcohol was illegal, and parties were a thing.
