Storyboard Text

  • Odysseus has left the island where all the Lotus flowers are. The men that ate the flowers got drugged by eating them. On their way back home they decide their hungy, which turns out to be a mistake.
  • All of the men are starving. They get to the land of Cyclops and go in a cave to eat. Generally in mythical times if a guest is there you greet them with a gift, which would be food in Odysseus's sake.
  • As the cyclopes enter his cave he is very angry that these men have broken into his home and eats two of his men. As the cyclopes leave he moves a boulder into the opening so the men could not get out. The cyclopes comes back from caring for his sheep and eats two more men. Odysseus has a plan, to make the cyclopes get drunk.
  • The cyclopes ask for Odysseus's name and he said "Nobody". While the Cyclopes is drunk Odysseus stabs his gouges his eye. Screams are coming from the cave and the other cyclopes are asking what is going on, the one Odysseus is hurting says, "Nobody is hurting me!" and that was the plan all along so it actually seems like no one is hurting him.
  • As the cyclopes is sleeping the men sneak out. When the men get out the boulder was not covering the exit, so the men had a clear shot to get out. At night Odysseus tapes the men to the bottom of the sheep on their stomach, so in the morning it gives the men a great escape from the land of cyclopes.
  • The men escape from the cave. In the moment it was amazing then the cyclopes awoke and was furious. As the men were sailing away Odysseus yells, "My name is Odysseus!" and the cyclopes now knows his name. Little did the men know, the cyclopes is the son of Pecidun, the god of the oceans. Bad thing is, Odysseus and his men are sailing on the ocean to get home.
