Baby is a teenage girl who keeps getting into trouble. She keeps getting sent to the juvenile detention center and uses drugs.
Whenever she is with her boyfriend, Bobby, they always make bad decisions. Her last chance to get out of trouble is to get sent to a foster home. Hopefully, she will change.
We have to send her to a foster home.
Baby then meets her new foster parents who live in New Hampshire. Her new foster parents, Fred and Mary Potter, are very calm and nice people. Their idea of fun is training dogs and to sled and then racing them.
Hello, I'm Marry Potter.
And I'm Fred Potter.
Baby has fallen in love with dog sledding. Baby now sees that dog sledding makes her calm and peaceful. She then competes in her first race and wins. She then falls in love with this one dog named, Laika
I really hope I do good.
I think you will do just fine.
... their sled dog, Laika.
Baby's old boyfriend, Bobby, comes back to take Baby back home with him. She agrees to go with him. Bobby encourages Baby to take on of her foster parent's most prized possession...
C'mon let's go.
Does she want to be with a guy who's going to go to prison? Is she willing to keep up with his drug dealing ways? Or does she want to go back to New Hampshire?
Baby starts thinking if she really wants to be with Bobby and escape to Mexico. Does she really want to keep making these bad decisions?
Baby finally decided that it's best for her to go back because she was actually doing good and loved it there. She obtained a passion for dog sledding. She wanted to be good and change for once.
Baby loved her foster parents, dog sledding, and their dogs. But most importantly, Laika.
