CPR and AED

Storyboard Text

  • She doesn't look very well...
  • She's not responding! Someone call 9-1-1 and get me an AED!
  • Okay, the ambulance should be here soon. I'll go get the AED!
  • Okay, I need to do 30 compressions in the next 15 seconds and make sure I go 2 inches deep each time. I need to also make sure the chest comes back up to recoil.
  • After I do my first round of compressions I need to do 2 rescue breaths, then repeat 5 times or until AED arrives.
  • I need to make sure that I don't spend more than 10 seconds not doing compressions.
  • Thank you!
  • Okay, now I need to turn the AED on and place the patches where it says to, and do as instructed by the AED.
  • I need to continue this because it gives the victim a higher chance of survival.
  • Here's the AED!
  • I need to continue until the ambulance get's here, the victim becomes responsive, or until I'm tired and have someone else take over.
  • I hear the sirens!
  • We are here to take over.
  • Can you explain to me what you did to help the victim?
