- King Louis XVI was the king of France. Because he was king he had the the most power than everyone else in the country. King Louis was a person who like having expensive things and looking nice. When he was king the third estate was getting all of the tax and were not happy about it at all they wanted change.

- King Louis called for a meeting of the three estates representatives and when they all came together in to talk. Each representative talked about what their estates want .

- When the estates came back to talk to the king about what they want they find they have been locked out so the people moved to the meeting to the tennis court and swore that they will not stop meeting until they have a new constitution and declared themselves the new representatives of France.

- In 1789 the National Assembly created a constitution called the Declaration of the rights of Man and the Citizen. This declared that men had liberty, safety, property, etc. Also it declared that everyone is going to get taxed based on their income and locals would vote and run the local government.
- This was the first big act of violence made against Louis XVI. Revolution er’s stormed the place out of angry and rage because and gained control of the armory because of the abuse of power the king was using.
- King Louis and the rest of the royal family dressed up as servants and tried to escape the country for freedom but they were caught only a few miles away from the boarder
