Storyboard Description

During the mid 1700s, the British and French went to war with each other and fought over lots of land. Because of this conflict, George Washington was given the opportunity to take command and lead the British forces into battle. Throughout the war, both the British and the French won their fair share of battles. For example, the British won a battle near Nova Scotia and the French won one near Fort Duquesne as shown in my storyboard. Eventually, the "Treaty of Paris" was sign and it ended the war. However, the war led to future conflict between the British and the colonies. Due to large amounts of debt from the war, the British established new taxes and new regulations on colonial trade which angered colonists. People like Benjamin Franklin worked hard to unite the colonies one way being the creation of the “Join, or Die” political cartoon.
