  • Sargon of Akkad
  • I am Sargon of Akkad I ruled the land by using political strategies. One of my strategies was to break down walls to city's so they wouldn't rebel.
  • Babylonian Empire
  • We the Babylonian empire serve under our kings code of laws.
  • Assyrian Empire
  • We the Assyrians had lived in Mesopotamia for a long time.
  • For over a thousand years, sumer was a land of independent city states. Later around 2300 B.C.E. , the Akkadians from the north conquered the land. To maintain control of his empire, sargon used very political stratiges like destroying walls to leave them defenseless and less likely for the city states to rebel.
  • Neo-Babylonian Empire
  • I Nebuchadnezzar have worked very hard to restore the splendor that Babylon had enjoyed under Hammurabi.
  • Babylonian Empire thrived under Hammurabi. Trading helped the empires economy. Babylonian women had more rights than in most ancient societies.
  • Hammurabi
  • The Assyrians had lived in Mesopotamia for a long time. they rose to power toward 900 B.C.E. when a series of Assyrian rulers began training an army for war in hopes of expanding their territory.

  • My code is very detailed and covered many situations. and did not treat every one equally.
  • Nebuchadnezzar worked hard to restore  the splendor that Babylonian had enjoyed under Hammurabi. He rebuilt the city's ziggurats. The Babylonians where also skilled in mathematics and astronomy. They created the first sundial a device that uses the sun to tell time.
  • The next ruler to unite all of Mesopotamia was a king named Hammurabi. Hammurabi is best known for his code of laws witch he wrote during his reign from 1792 to 1750 B.C.E..Hammurabi's code was a notable achievement of laws that did not treat every one equally.

  • Hammurabi's code was detailed,covering many situations such as trade,payment for work, marige,and divorce.people followed and obeyed Hammurabi's code. They followed this code because it was believed Hammurabi was chosen by the gods.
