- Gilgamesh Asks Siduri the Tavern keeper to take him to Uta-Napishti across the ocean
- My beloved companion is dead. Must I die too? I want to ask Uta-Napishti the secret of life and death
- You must cherish the life you have. But I will take you to find the answers you seek
- Why must I take you to see Uta-Napishti? These waters are dangerous

- Once Gilgamesh found Uta-napishti, he told Gilgamesh if he wanted to prove he was worth immortality he must stay awake for a week. He failed miserably and slept for a week.

- Gilgamesh asked Enkidu to get something from the underworld for him and warned him to not where his clothes for they would know he was a stranger. Enkidu did not listen and was caught. The spirit of Enkidu floated up from the underworld and talked to Gilgamesh.
- 1. Tell me what the underworld is like
- 3. The body of a man who died suddenly and the body of man who had no one to mourn for him is down there. My body that you have loved is down there.
