  • the general assembly representing the french estates, the clergy, the nobles, and the peasants. this occasion was moving towards democracy. the opening of the estates general was on may 5, 1789 in Versailles, also the start of the French revolution.

  • the members of the third estate took the tennis court oath. they didn't want to separate or not to reassemble until everyone was equal. the french vowed no to separate and to reassemble wherever circumstances require. this led to towards democracy.

  • a violent attack on the government by the people of France to start the french revolution. the building was built in the late 1300's to protect Paris during the hundred years war. this was moving away from democracy.

  • this is known as the October march. this was one was one of the most significant from the french revolution. This was moving towards democracy because the women were fighting rights.

  • yes, not allowing us to have equal rights.
  • the reign of terror happen when they wanted to cut one another heads off because of something they did and that's called the emancipation. these people that got emancipated were the ones who didn't support the french revolution.
  • Napoleon rose through the military during the french revolution. he seized political power in France in 1799. he crowned himself emperor in 1804.
